Principal's Corner

Welcome!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Hurley Elementary Middle School's website.  The faculty and staff join me in saying that we are looking forward to an exciting year!

This website contains important information designed to assist students and parents in organizing daily, weekly, and long term assignments.  It will also be a helpful resource for those parents who seek to provide academic support at home.  Hurley Elementary Middle School parents are our partners in the important job of educating children of this community.

The purpose of education is to provide a continuation of essential learning.  It is our ultimate goal to provide students the skills and experiences needed to become self-sufficient individuals mentally, physically, socially, and morally so they can meet the demands of a rapidly changing society.  It is important to instill in each student the importance of individual worth and to create a positive self-image through the personal development of initiative, resourcefulness, and responsibility.  It is the intent of the faculty and staff to lead students toward being disciplined, productive, informed, and fulfilled individuals.  To achieve these ideals, mutual respect and understanding must be present in the learning process on the part of all participants-the faculty, students, and community.

If you have any questions, please call the school office.  We feel that open and clear communication between school and home is important to the success of our educational program.
