Kindergarten Week 26 February 25-March 1st
By Abby Stiltner
This week starts our 5th six weeks. Only one more to go after this!
The school Science Fair will be March 4, 2019. Each student can do their own project to enter in the science fair and the winners will be judged and announced that day. Students will then continue on to the county science fair.
We will have a spelling test on Friday, March 1, 2019. The spelling words for this week are:
1. his
2. had
3. has
4. in
5. up
Please study these words nightly.
The decodable "Liz and Tad" will be sent home on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 for you to practice reading with your child. The signature card is attached for you to sign when you have read the book with your child.
We have been working in the computer lab on IXL. I am typing a memo up with your child's username and password for you to continue working on this at home. When logged in to IXL please practice the addition section in math and the capitalization section in language arts.
Next week we will celebrate Dr. Suess Week. We will have several dress up days. March 1, 2019 (Friday) is dress up like your favorite Dr. Suess character.
Due to the high number of students that are still sick, we have covered the water fountains to keep down the spread of germs. The school does provide students with bottled water and we have a water dispenser in the cafeteria. If you or your child wishes, he or she may bring a bottle of water or thermos to fill up with water through out the day. I have used juice boxes that were left for our Valentine's Day snack as drinks for after gym. We are doing everything we can to help prevent the spread of germs and keep our students happy and healthy.
A memo about Cap and Gown for Graduation will be sent home Friday.
As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me or the school. Thank you for all you do! Here's to another great week!
Ms. Abby
